‘I now realized that drug peddling is harmful’

CHITRAL: A man, in his 50s, from Mirkhani says he now realized that peddling drugs is illegal and against the interests of society, especially the youth.

Akbar Jan, son of Niamat Jan, told local reporters that he first used to smoke charas and later started selling charas and other drugs in his area.

He said now he had decided never to indulge himself in the illegal activity and also given an affidavit to notables of his village to stop the practice.

He said if he violated his undertaking, he would be ready to face any punishment under the law and as decided by the local people.
