Dabang SHO dies in road accident
CHITRAL: Inspector Sultan Baig alias Dabang lost his life in a road accident at Bilphok on Tuesday.
He was 58. The former SHO was going to his home village coming of Hinjeel in Karimabad valley in his Jimny jeep when he met with the accident at Bilphok.
His niece, who was accompanying him, was injured. His body was brought to the DHQ hospital from where it was sent to his native area.
Mr Baig who worked as the station house officer (SHO) in different parts of Chitral was known as a honest, hard working and efficient police officer.
He was posted in Chitral town as the circle incharge of the police investigation wing.

It is indeed a great loss for all of us who believe in honesty and hard work. Mr. Sultan baig had gained this reputation of being a straight forward Police Officer who would always follow the rule of law and lived his whole life to uphold the law of the land. I hope he will be remembered as an honest and brave officer and not as Dabang which suggests use of muscle if things don’t work out through proper channels.
The late Sultan Baig was a civil servant of the rarest class who set highest standards of public service in police department, which everyone would definitely aspire to reach.During his service he displayed excellent qualities of professionalism,selfless devotion and commitment to resolve intricate issues.Among all of his qualities he will be remembered along few of the brave sons of Chitral and rarest of police officers who rose above all kinds of prejudices,favours and fears,likes and dislikes,vanity and greed,while in the line of duty.He was faithful to colleagues,source of satisfaction to seniors,a fatherly figure and solace to the destitute and those in needs,brave while dealing with criminals,genuine public servant and a pride to his service,family and friends.His positive demeanours,energy and friendly disposition towards public earned him huge popularity as Dabang police officer.He was the true son of the soil and his legacy will be respected and revered across Chitral for long times to come.

We lost Highly reputable police officer, that is irreparable, because honest and efficient people born one in centuries. Mr. Sultan Baig was one of them, May his departed soul is blessed with janatul Firdous.
