Save Chitral, Save Pakistan bike rally sets off for Gwadar

BOONI: A “Save Chitral, Save Pakistan” bike rally was seen off here on Tuesday which will end in Gwadar, Balochistan.
The Chitral Heritage and Environment Protection Society (CHEPS) in collaboration with Chitral Biker Club has arranged the rally in order to create awareness about climate change.
Addressing a gathering of people amid heavy snowfall in Booni, CHEPS chief Rehmat Ali and Biker Club’s chairman Ikramullah said 27 per cent of total water being supplied to Pakistan originated in Chitral. Water is life, so we have to work collectively to conserve this precious commodity. Chitral is also a land of peace and through this rally we want to spread the message of peace throughout the world.
Meanwhile, a function will be held at the DC office in Chitral at 10am on Wednesday to send off the rally towards its destination.

    Well done rehmat Ali Jaffar Dost and his team to create awareness about climate change, which will badly damage our ecosystem, if unable to take some appropriate steps to save our resources in advance. This credit goes to Rehamat Ali Jaffar Dost, the environment activist, who compelled government institutions and other concerned departments to ensure the protection of environment. Every little thing we do really makes a difference. we appreciate and acknowledge the great efforts of Rehmat Ali Jaffar Dost and his team regarding loving and saving of environment.
    The ecosystem in which we live provides natural services for humans and all other species that are essential to our health, quality of life and survival.
    We can save environment by just making the following measurement.
    By saving forest, by saving water and electricity, by reusing bags and recycling the garbage.
