PSF Chitral postpones Islamabad protest

CHITRAL, Oct 22: The People’s Students Federation (PSF)’s women wing Chitral has postponed its planned sit-in outside the President House in Islamabad till five days after the upcoming Eidul Azha. 

According to a statement issued by Bibi Jan, the president of the PSF women wing Chitral, here on Monday, the decision was taken on the assurance of Falak Naz, the district president of the PPP’s women wing.

Ms Bibi Jan had a few days back held a press conference at Peshawar Press Club and warned the PPP government that if the issues being faced by female students in Chitral were not resolved on a priority basis, they would stage the sit-in in Islamabad to remind the top PPP leadership of their promises.

The press release said that the students were at the final stage of their preparations for the sit-in when Ms Naz assured them that all their problems would be taken up at the higher level and would be resolved soon.
