PPP activist for political strategy to defeat extremism

DROSH, Oct 3: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) activist and social worker Akmal Bhutto has said all political parties must devise a joint strategy to eliminate extremism and save the country from further killings and chaos. In a statement here, he said the nation cannot afford rampant killing of innocent people at the hands of a handful of terror elements who were also tarnishing the image of Pakistan the world over by their distorted interpretation of Islam. He said extremism had become a burning national issue which can only be resolved through a process of dialogue involving all political parties of the country. Mr Bhutto also expressed shock over the killing of two Chitralis in the recent bomb blasts at the Qissa Khwani Bazaar in Peshawar. He also expressed condolences with the bereaved families.
