The PM is due tomorrow to Chitral. After the PANAMA PAPERS revelations PM Nawaz is visiting the KP province on a regular basis for the last few months. Prior to the PANAMA leakages, he was in a comfort zone confining himself just to the province of Punjab. He was forced and pushed to do so in order to counter the tsunami (protest) of Imran Khan.
Anybody with a modicum of common sense would know that the ruling party is so desperate to diffuse this pressure at any cost while on the other hand there is pressure cooker situation escalating the pressure further. This month of September will be a decisive. We were told that the real essence of any democratic system is rule of law, accountability and meritocracy. Unfortunately, in our case after the PANAMA scenario the moral position of the PM is very weak to run his office. In a democratic system the strengthening of public institution is paramount. On the contrary, after the PANAMA developments our national institutions (FBR,NAB,ECP AND FIA etc) are sitting idle and closing their eyes to protect the vested interest of the ruling elites which is a sign of a sham democracy. Our so called democratic system will always be in jeopardy when people like Nawaz Sharif will be exposed. Many people in Chitral are planning to give our disreputable PM a very warm welcome. According to them, it is vital for the sake of the progress and development of Chitral. All the political parties were given a task to pull crowd. Recently, different political parties were staging rallies in favour and support of the great Turkish president Mr.Tayyab Eordogan. They were praising his courage and his services to the democracy. It depicts our mentality and frame of mind as a society. There is total contradiction and hypocrisy. For the last two days we are getting maximum supply of energy because there is an expectation of arrival of a high profile vvip. Similarly during the holy month of ramazan we were facing 18 hours energy outages. It is my firm belief that despite of these superficial arrangements delaying and blackmailing tactics to save his monarchy will soon turn into a fiasco.
