CHITRAL: An old man here on Sunday accused one of his relatives of trying to occupy his land by tampering with the documents.
Sultan Murad of Singoor told local reports that his father Hujoom Khan, who originally came from Bashgram in Karimabad valley, had purchased three Chakoram land in Singoor from late Muhammad Safeed Khan in 1942.
The land purchase document was signed by the owner in the presence of late Mirza Khan, Sahib Khan and Behram Khan as witnesses.
Mr Murad said since then he and his siblings had lived in their houses built on the land. He claimed that one of his relatives stole the original document of the land and was now trying to occupy his property.
He said the relative was not even the resident of Singoor. He appealed to the authorities concerned to take action and protect his property. –Nazir Hussain
