CHITRAL: While the Supreme Court ordered NADRA to unblock former military dictator Pervez Musharraf’s national identity card in Lahore, workers and supporters of his party, APML, filed his nomination papers for the only National Assembly seat of Chitral.
Ahmed Khan of Barghuzi has been mentioned as the proposer of Musharraf’s nomination while Irshad Ahmed of the same area as the secondor.
Shahzada Iftikharudin of the APML had won the NA seat of Chitral in the 2013 election and he is now a candidate for the seat under the platform of the PML-N. Before the filing of the nominations, Sultan Wazir had been proposed as the candidate of the APML.
Meanwhile, PPP candidates Salim Khan and Ghulam Muhammad reached the local courts in a big procession and filed papers for NA-1 and PK-1 seats. Molana Hidayatur Rehman also filed papers for PK-1 from the JUI.
