JUI may de-seat renegade councillors

CHITRAL, Aug 31: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), KP, has decided to constitute a tribunal to probe and take action against those councillors of the party who violated the directions of the leadership and did not vote for the party candidates in the elections for nazims.
The decision as taken at a meeting of the provincial executive committee of the JUI which was presided over by Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan in Peshawar, said a press release issued to the media. The meeting decided that the tribunal would prepare reports on the elections of all the tehsil and district nazim elections and investigate if any member had violated the party line.
The meeting decided that if any member was found to have violated the policy of the party, they would not only be de-seated but their basic membership of the party would also be abolished.—SN Peerzada

    The JUI councilors have only followed their leader Moulana Fazlu Rehman, who has proven to be a saleable commodity and does not believe in conscience or ethics in politics. In khowar we say ‘baramushh ki baramushh boi ma nirwazo chhogh aloya’
