CHITRAL: The deputy commissioner has warned that if any government employee was found involved in any political activity, directly or indirectly, they will be proceeded against under the prevailing law.
Subsequently, a penalty will be imposed upon them as per recommendation on the basis of the proof available against them.
In a statement, Khurshid Alam Mehsud, the deputy commissioner of Chitral, on Sunday stated that as the general election 2018 was going to be conducted on July 25, it had been brought under the notice of the DC that the government servants in Chitral were involved in propagation of political parties through social media and other sources. Besides, they are also participating in political gatherings, which is a clear violation of the Code of Conduct issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan.
The statement said the order would equally be applicable on all federal as well as provincial government employees.
