Food items through Austrian donations distributed

The food items distribution ceremony was held at the BLSO office in Booni and was attended by member Tehsil Council Sardar Hakim, chairman village council Booni Ahsan, vic-chairman Pervaiz, Rehmat Salam and BOD members of the BLSO. Speaking on the occasion, the BLSO chairman said we contacted Mr Renkal, an Austrian national, with a request to provide assiatance to the earthquake-hit people of Chitral. Mr Renkal collected donations from Austrian people and sent them to the BLSO and TPC to provide food items to the most deserving people. The items were distributed after proper assessment in two most affected villages of Booni and Charun-Ovir. The other speakers on the occasion appreciated the efforts of chairman Zahir Uddin Baber and the Austrian people and Mr Renkal for their assistance and hoped that they would also provide support to earthquake-affected people of UC Mastuj, Laspur, Brep which have badly affected in the recent earthquake. The BLSO also submitted proposals to donor agencies and philanthropists to assist the earthquake effectees in the area.]]>
