CHITRAL, Oct 30: A sum of Rs170,000 sent by the Chitralis’ Overseas Welfare Association was distributed among 2013’s flood affected people of Garam Chasma valley.
Association’s chairman and PTI leader Haji Sultan Muhamamd, vice chairman Haji Saheb Zafar distributed the relief amount among the flood-affected people of Rooi, Gasteni Gologh in their native areas. The residents who had lost their houses and other properties received from Rs5,000 to Rs10,000.
Speaking to the flood-affected people, Mr Sultan said Chitralis living abroad always cared and thought for their brothers and sisters back home. He said that the token of amount was a gift from the overseas Chitralis to the flood affected people of the area.—Jahan zeb
