After the July-Aug 2015 devastating floods in Chitral, the governor of KP had announced to refund the tuition fee of all the Chitrali students enrolled in the public sector universities of the province.
It was a very good decision and the concerned universities had also prepared the lists of all the students to refund their fee.
I would not pass any comment on the intention of the KP government or others, but the point to ponder is why the Peshawar University has asked the students to pay their final year fee, promising that it would refund the fee the students paid last year.
I am unable to understand this logic that why they are asking for the fee if they are refunding it. This is not justice with the students. It’s my appeal to the MNA of Chitral and MPAs to raise this issue at the higher level and ask the concerned universities not to ask the students to deposit the fee.
Indeed, it’s a serious issue for all the students and we hope the governor will also take notice of the issue for the better interest of the students.
