Doctors' advice to diabetic patients

BOONI, Dec 22: A function was held in connection with the World Diabetes Day at the PTDC Booni on Sunday. The event was organized by the Central Asia Health System Strengthening (CAHSS) project of the Aga Khan Health Service Chitral. A large number of people from different walks of life participated in the seminar. Miraj Uddin, M & E, welcomed the participants and Sajjad Zarin, social organizer, presented a brief overview of CAHSS project and the objective of the seminar. Dr Nasim and Dr Sardar Nawaz presented brief presentation on diabetes. The speakers briefed the participants about types, causes, risk factors and prevention of diabetes and stressed on a balanced diet on daily life. They also asked the citizens not to use any kind of cold drink and instead use fresh vegetables and regular check their sugar level. Religious scholar Qazi Ghulam Rabbani & Alwaiz Rahmat Ishaq briefed the participants about the disease prevention and cure on Islamic point of view.—S.N. Peerzada]]>
