CHITRAL: An ideal working relationship exists between the military and civilian administration in Chitral. The military and the civilian admin are on same page and that is why issues of the locals are being resolved smoothly.
Besides, impediments in the way of law and order and peace are removed before they arise. The latest example of good coordination to resolve issues was the holding of the annual mega Shandur festival and tackling the issue arising out of the sudden floods in Golen Gol at the same time.
These views were expressed by Commandant Chitral Task Force Col Moinuddin while chairing a meeting of the Civil-Military Liaison Committee held at the Chitral Scouts headquarters on Sunday.
He said the committee can play an important role in eliminating the menace of drug addiction among the youth, maintaining sectarian harmony and promoting clean and green Chitral.
Speaking on the occasion, MNA Abdul Akbar, MPA Hidayatur Rehman, MPA Wazirada, DC lower Chitral Naveed Ahmed, DPO Wasim Riaz and others presented proposals for solution of different issues related to supply of drinking water, electricity and construction of dilapidated roads.
The participants also expressed their reservations over use of the social media by some elements to spoil the peace and harmony of Chitral.
