PESHAWAR: Yasir Arafat, Lecturer in Economics at University of Chitral, successfully defended his doctoral thesis at University of Peshawar on March 11, says a press release.
His topic for PhD was “An Analysis of the Role of Independent Power Produces on the Economic Growth and Demand of Energy in Pakistan (1990-2015)”.
He completed his research work under the supervision of Dr. Naila Nazir, Associate Professor in the Department of Economics.
Dr. Fazli Hakeem, Director General of Social Sector in the Planning Commission of Pakistan and Dr Anwar Hussain, Associate Professor in Pakistan Institute of Developmental Economics (PIDE), were his external examiners.
Dr. Badshah Munir Bukhari, Project Director University of Chitral, was also present on the occasion.
On successfully defending his thesis, Dr. Bukhari congratulated Mr Arafat and reiterated his unflinching commitment for facilitating faculty development in the University of Chitral.
