Introduction: Career counseling is the process of assisting individuals in the development of a life-career with emphasis on the meaning of the effective role and how that role cooperates with other life roles. Counselling is a strategic portion of guidance program accessible in school for best career opportunities and selections based on developmental learning programs. Counselling has its vital objective to authorize students to take their decisions in different part of their life, decode problems, address social issues and resolve difficulties they may experiencing in their life. Counseling in school may include educational counselling, career counselling or combination of both which regrettably is not offered in our region. Counselling is basically the empowerment and development of attitude, personal awareness, sound understanding and appreciation of self and self-management. It’s frequently concerned with the development of skills and the personal domain. It is all about providing information, guidance services with a view to support each and every one in any stage of their life in the development of their own career through decision making as regard to education, work and social life. Education convey a very comprehensive meaning beyond fulfilling your desires, to acquire a superior job or to achieve a wealthy life but it enormously means to empower your society, to help the deprived people around you, to became a stake that hold the intellects and skills around, to participate in your society and community and to rapidly burst the true fragrance of education, equality, justice and peace. Students in our area from the very elementary levels to high levels 70% are uninformed of the word counselling and guidance through which the can move to the spaces where they have to be and they deserve to be. Self-Capabilities Awareness: We all know that almighty have blessed all of us with dissimilar talents and uniqueness like many of us have great communicating skills and they can convey messages more than what they have in their minds but have a very poor writing and digit skills, some have got amazing control on their voices and can read emotions but have very weak numerical and scientific skills, some have very scientific and applied minds they are used to reasoning but don’t have that attractive communication, some are very strong physically have astonishing appearance and are interested in sports activities but are very feeble in reading writing and communicating, some are concerned in capturing nature, animals and beauty around them, some have an incredible control on their pencils and colors and interested to capture everything through them, some have excessive management and leadership skills, many are born to deal with digits and numeral activities but are very weak in qualities mentioned above. All these people belong in exact different category although the man with great communication shall be a mathematician but what about the man born with unique digit skills and interest in numeric. What if a man with great communication and interacting skills became a teacher, or work in a pitch more familiar with communication like marketing? Assume we have two different rides one is a mini-sports car other is a powerful turbo-engine truck on the other hand two different roads one is stony and rough uphill road other is blacktopped and flat. Now the mini-sport car have the features to run up to the maximum speed but on the flat roads while the powerful turbo-engine truck is amazing in climbing high rough road but is not that comfortable and speedy. What if we run turbo-truck on highways and sports-car on rough climbing roads? Soon we will walking on our feet but it doesn’t means that turbo-truck or sports-cars are inoperable. It means we have some confusion while making the choices same goes for our career if we have got outstanding literature and writing skills and joined some mathematical and applied courses is same as riding sports-car on hilly roads. Challenges: Now the concern here is that most of the students don’t even know where they can execute their finest, means they don’t even have recognized their potentials even when they are appearing for higher education in universities. I must share one of my experiences where I felt like career counselling as one of the key aspect that we need to address especially in our area. I was waiting for my friends in front of my university gate suddenly I saw the security guard arguing with three youngsters, they were actually trying to approach the administration while the security guard was saying that administration is closed for now. They were disagreed with the security guard and finally they came to me for the assurance, I just told them that the security guard was correct, they were holding application forms along the prospectus. I just asked them that which courses they were applying for. Now their reply was most awful verdict for me like they said we don’t know, not confirmed yet. One said that whatever is being offered. They were from Chitral and I appreciate their interest that they all approached to the universities but there were probably more than 80% possibility that they will appear with an improper course where there will be a massive confusion between their capabilities and courses. Highlighted Causes: From the very basic this is the outcome of ignorance of the institutions they are imminent from, the lack of experiences of the staff there, the lack of interest of the teachers, the institutions linked to this issue and government organizations which are allied with career and educational counselling. Clarifying the first cause that ignorance of the institutions means that the schools and colleges have to conduct gatherings, programs and courses where the can guide their students regarding their career and educational counselling. This is their obligation to make sure that their students are skilled enough to face future challenges. Here I consider the private institutions more responsible equating with government institutions for this unproductive outcome because I don’t even consider the government institutions to be that capable in coming several decades. Coming to the second cause that lack of experiences means the schools and colleges have to manage some lectures, gatherings, sessions and monthly awareness programs for their teachers that they will capture ideas and transform them to the students. If the teachers are unaware of these vital aspects so how they are going to wake and shake the students. Third and the most important aspect is the lack of interest of the teachers, everyone in our society consider government job as the most secure and high paid job, that’s the reason people always search for such vacancies and are not satisfied with their job and pay in private institutions. This is main reason because if someone is not satisfied with his/her job, pay and organization so how he/she is going to satisfy his/her students. People who are trained and have high education are there in the government sectors but doing nothing and wasting our resources. Last but not least government and non-governmental institutions working regarding career and educational counselling are not that efficient and as mentioned above they are calm because they know that no-one is going to take any act regarding this. Beyond the sloppiness of the institutions the parents themselves have a kind of negative role in this regard like some parents they insist their children for particular fields where the children have lack of interest. This is the time to change this trend that there are only two people who can live a humble and successful life like doctors and engineers. If that is true so who are managing millions of organization around the globe? Who are managing thousands of financial institutions like banks working in our country and around the globe? The most important field media, news, talk shows, movies, dramas, advertisements, newspapers who are regulating all these? Books we read every day including novels, courses, stories and poetries who are writing all these? Songs we hear regularly local songs, national and international songs who are singing, writing, directing and producing all these? We watch cricket, football and hockey all the day who are the players and where they came from? The most respected occupation ever teachers where these inspiring teachers came from? How our economy is running and who are the thousands of key personalities behind this? How the political and social activities are going on who are the vital characters? We all love to keep attractive art collections and inspiring song collections around us but don’t let our children to be a part of that. Some parents don’t even concern for guiding their children in this challenging situation, they consider that their responsibility is just to control the financial segment but the reality is that to guide them to the right path is also your responsibility and the right path is their interest where you have to support them and let them move forward with their dreams, and help them to transform their dreams into reality. This decision is very personal and individual because we are going to select a life time activity. Take your time make discussion with students, friends, relatives and teacher but the most important is how visionary and passionate you are toward your goal. Try to carry out the abilities you have and sparkle them. Parent should change their way of thinking and guide their children with a very different outlook and let their children to select the field of study they are interested in, help them, support them, guide them because beyond the financial assistance helping them to be a personality they are interested in is also your responsibility. Effort to maintain a friendly relation with your children that they can share their problems and interest with you because continuing a strict and discouraging attitude is the vital cause the students are getting dishearten from education because neither they can face the teachers friendly and nor their parents and they find their surrounding very stimulating and depressing therefore search different and more than 80% erroneous ways to quit. Many suicide cases are the true examples because if you are revealing to your children that success is very attractive and fruitful than you must direct to them that failure is the essential step toward success. They find suicide easier than fronting teachers and their family. Explain every aspect of life to your children but don’t judge them every time. Let them feel free with you and support them sense you will help them in every good and bad situation. Responsible institution need to bring tests, interactions with the students, gatherings based on career and educational counselling and need to guide each and every student that what are their uniqueness and where they can perform their best in the future.
