Burn injured family members shifted to Peshawar

CHITRAL: Eight members of a family who sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder blast and fire in Ayun yesterday were shifted to Peshawar due to lack of facilities at the trauma centre in Chitral town.

The victims were moved to Peshawar in ambulances on Wednesday.

The family of Shakir Ullah of Muldeh Ayun sustained injuries when the as cylinder used for cooking exploded on Tuesday evening followed by a fire.

Initially, the injured were taken to rural health centre of Ayun by local people from where they were shifted to Chitral.

The injured included Shakir Ullah, his mother, brother Manzoor, wife Asya Bibi, sister-in-law Attiqa, daughter Shakila, 12, niece Kehkeshan, 8, and nephew Ayan, 5.

    It is unfortunate that the burn and trauma center developed at DHQ chitral with the financial support of germans was converted to operation theater by the management and investment of millions of rupees was wasted. Now the victims are moved to peshawar. Salute to the management of DHQ hospital.
