The flash floods in Chitral and its destructions have caught the media and government of Pakistan alike. But among the flood-devastated areas being reported by the media, the Arkari valley has not been given the coverage which id deserved due to the gravity of the calamity.
I belong to the Arkari valley where roads and bridges have been damaged and people are getting facing difficulty to survive in a normal way now. Many people have lost their houses and foods which they had stored in their houses.
I have tried to contact the leaders and police but no one has taken any action to reach out to the affectees. I live in United Arab Emirates, Dubai. And have been calling every day many times, even today our honorable prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s meeting they talked about all the affected areas but no one pointed our Arkari Valley.
I believe that you know very well about Arkari Valley which is part of Lotkoh Grram Chasma. Even today no government department has tried to set the communication systems back to work in Arkari? So this time many overseas workers are having tough time to contact their families to know what is happening because of no telephone systems there.
I have high expectations that you may highlight this matter in your newspaper. I hope and pray for all Chitrali flood affectees.
