CHITRAL: Ruling PTI leader Abdul Latif on Wednesday said all governments in the past did nothing substantive for development of Chitral and gave the people of the area only lollipops. But the PTI government believes in the sustainable development of the backward valley.
In a statement, Mr Latif said the provincial government was working on a long-term development of Chitral and the establishment of Chitral Development Authority (CDA) would be milestone in this regard.
He claimed that by fulfilling yet another promise to set up the development authority, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has won the hearts of the people of Chitral.
He claimed that after coming to power, the PTI government has working for the development of Chitral and mega projects such as Chitral-Shandur and Chitral-Garam Chashma roads are some of the examples.
Moreover, billions of rupees were to be utilized on promotion of sports and tourism after which Chitral would be much ahead of other areas in terms of development, he added.
Mr Latif said ‘Molvi sahibans’, who got votes in the name of religion and reached the assemblies, were doing nothing except holding press conferences while minority MPA of the PTI Wazirzada has tirelessly been working for the development of Chitral.
He said the PTI government would complete all its projects in the next three years and put Chitral on path of development and prosperity.
