CHITRAL: Assistant Commissioner Chitral Abdul Wali Khan on Tuesday launched a campaign to remove encroachments from bazaar area and the bypass road of the town.

The AC along with other officials visited the old bazaar and the bypass road and directed the vendors selling fruits, vegetables and other items to keep away from the roadside in order to ensure free flow of traffic.

The drive was launched on the direction of the provincial government to keep the city clean and neat and remove hurdles in the flow of traffic.

The AC also directed the shopkeepers to keep dustbins in their shops and maintain cleanliness otherwise legal action would be initiated against them.

He also said the bypass road was not for parking but people were parking their vehicles along the road creating problems for the road users.
