This beautiful creation of the God! The angel on the earth makes our life a wonderful experience all together. Imagining life without a woman is quite hard-hitting. This angel shakes the cradle with one hand the earth with the other hand. The fact that all the great people of the world are born from the womb of a woman and it is a woman from whom those great people have taken their initial teachings. And that is the reason we have always emphasized upon giving the due respect to women in their life. And that is why women’s day is celebrated with so much of zeal and it has spread throughout the world.
To teach people the various roles played by women in different spheres of life in various organizations and educational intuitions and various national and international platforms, women’s day speeches are delivered.
Celebrating woman day is a way of feeling gratitude to the each and every woman in one’s life, be it in the professional or the personal life.
International Women’s Day is observed every year on 8th March and it is observed around the world to celebrate the velour of women. In most of the countries the day has been observed as a national holiday. Women from various cultural and ethnic groups come together crossing all the boundaries to remember their struggle of many decades for peace, justice, equality and development. The day allows women to raise her voice for an equal opportunity in whatever field she wants to participate in; same a man is provided with.
The bottom line of celebrating women’s day is due to the wide spread differences in various fields – the pay difference of 14.9% between men and women, only 21.4% of seats for women in parliament around the world, lack of awareness for women education and many more.
International Women’s Day all about feeling women realize their worth and giving them boost to achieve as per their actual potential. On this day the world unites to appreciate their courage to cross all the hurdles and make such tremendous improvement in all most all the spheres of life. Besides that, it is the most important thing to be given emphasis is the work that still needs to be done to fill that gap completely that had existed from ages.
A general myth that exists in the society is that issues related to women empowerment can only be addressed at an infinitesimally slower pace. Many people out there in society believe that the gender gap not really exits and some are also of the belief that the efforts made by individuals cannot actually make difference to the gender gap that exists in the society.
These beliefs have over the years debilitated the power of women. The first in this endeavour to eradicating this deep rooted menace is realizing that the problem can only be identified and solved by interacting with the people who are actually irrational taboos of the society.
On this day we must realize that every single person’s contribution towards fighting a threat of the society counts. International women’s day is all about being aware of the fact that each individual has to work in their own way for changing the ugly face of the society.
Nobody could neither exclude nor ignore the right of women. Women are integral part of our society. Our social, political, religious and economical life is woman centered. Woman is equal to man in all aspects of life no superiority and inferiority is even exist. In case of Pakistan woman is exercising equal rights and duty like man, from educational to political and from social to domestic life.
The feminist movement in the western was right because there was discrimination and there is discrimination. If there is any sort of exploitation found in our society so it would be solved with cool mind and heart. Nowadays the attitude of our both male and female activist are quite alarming, they want to use power and influence.
Aggression could bring revolution but not evolution and revolution needs disaster to happen. Being a Muslim we have to handle each and every situation according to Holy Quran and from the life of our Holy Prophet (saw) women were depressed, oppressed and suppressed. They were not taken as the member of the society but dealt with like private property. It was their will to let a baby girl to survive or to buried alive.
Holy Prophet( saw) rescued the degraded society at the verge of deterioration and practically provided man and woman equal rights in the social sphere. Through the Islamic way of life not holy Muhammad (saw) but all his followers from sahab to Taba tabegen ruled the world.
Society is like an organism, man and woman are the main organs having different functions to perform and to uphold the do and does of the society. Each of them has a separate role woman is the institution of softness, love and respect in the same fashion man is made for the outer world with different and same characteristics. If one of these institutions start malfunctioning then it would result into down fall of the society.
The recently prevailing slogan “mera jism, mere marzu” is quite alarming. If woman is not ready to give birth to a child which is impossible by a man then on the other hand if man opted for bachelor life then woman’ body become of no use. Life is the name of compromise everything has a binary in this world like day and night, black and white, man and woman. Life is the name of inter dependency and mutual coordination.
“Man is a social animal. Who lives alone is either a God or beast,” Aristotle. Being a social animal is it possible for only man or woman to run the business of the life without mutual harmony and coordination, the answer would be ‘not’ at all. The rebellious nature both of the gender is harmful at a great extent. So it is the time for the man and woman to be hand to hand and shoulder to shoulder.
Traditions, norms and rituals play a great role in the stability and prosperity of a nation. The mother of all democracies “The great Britain” is still ruled by the norms and the super power is also bound to the tradition of the ancestors. Ibn e Khaldoon in his book “Muqadima” gives the concept of “Asbiyah” means solidarity. He states the the down fall of a nation takes five stages in round about 120 years and in five stages. Nations rules with solidarity and will be ruled when they divide and questions their relationship bonds.
In simple term the issue of women’s right in Pakistan is an alarming one and needs a serious attention. The so called feminist and anti feminist are pushing and pulling our society towards an ultimate turmoil and chaos. They all need publicity with any rational and logical agenda to solve a social evil. If need sincere, active and vigilant activists and socialists to maintain the equality among the masses.
