Jamat Khan dies in Karachi

KARACHI: Mr Jamat Khan popularly known as Jamati, from Khuz in Upper Chitral, passed away here on Thursday morning. He was 65.

Mr Jamat worked at the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) for about three decades during which he selflessly served Chitralis. After retirement from the AKUH, he developed some kidney issues and was undergoing dialysis.

On Thursday morning, he suffered a heart attack and was rushed to a nearby health facility where he was pronounced dead. His body is being taken to Chitral for burial.
