Youth found murdered a year after love marriage, wife missing

CHITRAL: A young man who entered into a love marriage with a girl from Dir Kohistan a year ago has been found murdered and his pregnant wife missing mysteriously.

Locals told ChitralToday that Waqar Ahmed alias Shahinshah brought his new wife home in Izz village of Gram Chashma last year. A few months ago, a family from Swat came to the same village and started living there. Shahinshah and his wife developed good relations with the Swati family and the two families used to visit each other very often.

Two days ago, Shahinshah and the Swati men took Shahinshah’s wife to Chitral town in a 2D car for a checkup. However,  Shahinshah and his wife did not return home. As the couple could not be contacted on phone, a search was launched and in the evening the dead body of Shahinshah was recovered from the roadside at Shali Gol.

However, there is no trace of his wife as well as the family from Swat. The body was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for a postmortem. The police have started an investigation into the case but have made no progress.
