Why CM could not open powerhouse work even visiting Reshun?

CHITRAL: Due to the stubbornness of the district administration and helplessness of the local PTI leaders, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan could not inaugurate the reconstruction of Reshun powerhouse even visiting Reshun and returned from the polo ground.

This was stated by president of Reshun powerhouse restoration committee Nadir Jang, general secretary Muhammad Nabi Khan, members Syed Sardar Hussain, Hayatuddin and Abdur Rab.

Had the local administration not been that much stubborn and the local PTI leaders helpless, the chief minister would have inaugurated the work on the powerhouse at the site and listened to the issues of actual flood affected people of Reshun Gol. But the chief minister ended his visit to Reshun by addressing a gathering of powerhouse labourers, policemen and other government officials at the polo ground instead of meeting the local people and being welcomed by them in a traditional manner.

They said the 2015 floods had not only destroyed the powerhouse but also caused losses worth millions of rupees to local people by washing away their land, fruit trees and other properties.

The affected people were expecting that the chief minister would visit Reshun Gol and see the destruction and devise a plan for the rehabilitation of the affected people too. Even during his speech at the polo ground, the chief minister did not mince a word about the rehabilitation of the local people and talked about the forthcoming local government elections.

Really couldn’t’ understand the logic behind the decision made by PTI leadership not to let the CM visit to Reshun Goal to see and listen to the flood victams. They were hiding something ? Are the road was bumpy to pass through? Were there any security threats?? Or other unknown reason???
