Locals rehabilitate falling bridge on Yarkhun road

BANG: After no steps were taken by any government department, the local people moved to protect a small bridge over a stream in Pavur village on a voluntary basis.

The bridge is located on the road connecting upper Yarkhun villages and Broghil valley with other parts of Chitral.

Due to lack of maintenance, the protection wall on one side of the stream has already fallen into the water. The locals have managed to protect the bridge for the time being but steps are needed to rebuild the bridge, said a local.
