Books on prominent historian and ex-state’s governance system launched

CHITRAL: A function was held at the town hall to launch two books written by Dr Inayatullah Faizi and Mufti Younus Khalid on Friday.

The ceremony to launch Allama Muhammad Ghufran by Dr Faizi and Sabiq Riasat Chitral ki Tarikh aur Tarz e Hakumrani by Karachi-based Mufti Khalid was chaired by former chairman of Geography Department of Peshawar University Prof Israruddin while Chitral University Project Director Dr Badshah Munir Bukhri was the chief guest.

The speakers said that Ghufran holds a very important position in the literary and political history of Chitral and by writing the book Dr Faizi has opened a new chapter to peep into the personality of this scholar who left a treasure in terms of his book on the history of Chitral.

Similarly, they appreciated Mufti Khalid’s efforts to explain the governance system and in the former state of Chitral. They said in the book as many as 114 topics have been discussed highlighting the history of Chitral in the perspective of the system of governance by different rulers spanning over centuries when Chitral was a separate state.
