Chitral receives another spell of rain

CHITRAL: Another spell of rain hit Chitral town and nearby areas on Tuesday morning which continued with intervals throughout the day.

Mountains have received snowfall while in most parts of upper Chitral the weather remained cloudy with cold winds blowing.

In Ayun and other areas, farmers started giving fertilizer to their wheat crops as the rain started in the morning.

The farmers  are of the view that the rain would be good for the crop but if the wet spell continued it would damage fruit buds such as that of mulberry.

The rains have also prolonged the winter this year and full spring is still awaited in Chitral.

The farmers also said the plenty of winter rains would be highly beneficial for those areas where people faced shortage of water in the summer.
