Varsity students set up forum to promote education in Awi

BOONI: Students belonging to Awi and adjacent areas and studying in different universities of Pakistan have launched a forum to work for the betterment of the youth of Awi and help them in the pursuit of higher education and meet different challenges.

In a press release, the students said the objectives of their forum, Educational Development Forum Awi (EDFA), included work to create awareness in the community about importance of education, provide a platform to the youth regarding career counselling, guide local students in choosing best fields of studies and regularly organize events and sessions such as seminars for the promotion of education and discourage social evils, including drug addiction, among the youth.

Besides, the forum will also be working for the promotion of  social, cultural and religious values of Chitral.
