Man arrested on charge of killing wife

BOONI: Police here have arrested a man on the charge of killing his wife over a week ago and declaring it as an accidental death, the police said in a statement.

The police said Arifur Rehman, a resident of Sonoghur, had claimed that his wife Gul Zehra died of electrocution on May 8.
However, on suspicion the police registered a murder case and during investigation it transpired that the woman had not died of electrocution.

Later, the suspect confessed to killing his wife over some domestic issues and later also confirmed it in front of a judge.
The court remanded the suspect to the police for further investigation.
