Licences of automatic weapons cancelled
CHITRAL: Licences of all automatic weapons such as guns/rifles and pistols have been cancelled on the directions of the Ministry of Interior.
According to the DC office, the holders of such licences have been directed to deposit their automatic weapons with the DC office till Jan 31, 2018, and get refund of Rs50,000 for each automatic rifle/gun and Rs20,000 for each pistol.
The owners can also exchange the automatic weapons with semi/non-automatic weapons from arms dealers and get certificates from the DC office.
