Awareness workshop organized for farmers

The programme was held under the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in which AC Mastuj Muhammad Hayat Shah was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, deputy team leader Amjad Ali Shah highlighted the objectives of the workshop. FAO field officer Arif Jamal said the 2015 floods and earthquake badly affected agriculture, the main source of livelihood of the people of Chitral. He said the FAO had helped the affected people and was still working to improving the sources of livelihood. The AC on the occasion said government and private originations were jointly working to improve the living standards of the citizens and it was up to the residents to take benefits from the initiatives. He said the farmers should mould their way of agriculture in modern and scientific ways to reap maximum yields. A large number of farmers attended the awareness workshop.]]>
