Science & technology competition begins
CHITRAL, Nov 1: The annual three-day-long science, technology and arts competition organized by the Aga Khan Higher Secondary School Chitral started here on Friday. More than 30 educational institutions from across Chitral with 54 different projects are taking part in the competition. The projects will be open for visitors for three days and at the end will be assessed by a panel of neutral experts and the winners will be awarded trophies and certificates. Addressing the opening session of the competition, Zulfiqar Ali, the principal of the Aga Khan Higher Secondary School Chitral, welcomed the participants and teachers. He said the enthusiasm and complete devotion to scientific education on the part of the young generation would go a long way in developing a learning society in the district. He added that the AKHSS was working to provide an ideal educational opportunity to the students of Chitral so that they can excel in their studies. He said the credit also goes to AkESP for striving to encourage the creativity of the students by introducing application level syllabus in the institutions under its supervision. He urged the students not to confine their learning to knowledge level only rather they should go to the application level. Earlier GM AKESP Chitral Mir Zaman inaugurated the competition.]]>
