The meeting was presided over by Haji Habib Hussain Mughul, president Trade Union Chitral. The trades appreciated the working of the present cabinet and said that due to its performance it had been elected for the last nine years. They said president Mughul and general secretary Haji Manzor Qadir worked day and night for the welfare of the local shopkeepers and played a vital role in developing harmony between the traders and the district administration. Some of the traders proposed naming an interim cabinet before new office-bearers are elected. However, majority of them were of the opinion that the current cabinet should be given extension until June 30.—GH farooqui]]>
