Youth Forum concerned over delay in arresting girl's killers

CHITRAL, Oct 17: The District Youth Forum here on Wednesday strongly condemned police failure to arrest the killers of a schoolgirl even after the passage of many months. The meeting of the forum was held under the chairmanship of its president Manzoor Ahmad here. The meeting, unanimously, condemned the brutal assassination of the girl at Ovir village, about 90 kilometres from here, a few months back and also criticized the police for their failure to arrest the killers. Addressing the meeting, secretary information of the Youth Forum Mr. Zahid Ali said the assassination of the innocent girl, Qadir Gul, daughter of Jani, was a blot on the face of justice system of the country, law enforcement agencies and the so-called champions of woman rights. He appealed to the District Police Officer to arrest the culprits and present them before the court of law so that they can be awarded exemplary punishment for their heinous crime without further delay. It may be noted that since the murder of the girl, police have arrested a number of people and let them off later. the law enforcers have failed to put their hands on the killers of the innocent girl. ]]>
