Youth commits suicide after losing luggage

Police said Shoaib Ali, 22, son of Esa Khan of Parkusab village in Mastuj tehsil, reached Chashma Inn Hotel in Chitral at 10pm on Friday. When the hotel staff asked him about dinner, he said he did not want anything to eat, saying all his luggage were stolen on way to Chitral from Peshawar and he was upset. He said his important documents and a laptop were also in the luggage. The hotel staff told the police that when the guest did not wake up on Saturday morning and neither responded to the knocks at the door, they looked into his room from the ventilator and saw him hanging from the ceiling fan. The police reached the spot and took the body into custody and shifted it to the DHQ hospital for completing legal formalities.
