Tribunal to decide PK-90 results
BOONI, May 13: The results of PK-90 upper Chitral may change as a new development on Monday took the issue of who is the winner to a tribunal that will decide the matter on Tuesday. The tribunal of a sessions judge was formed after reports that in the polling station of Chuinj as many as 103 votes polled in favour of PPP’s Sardar Hussain were counted in the name of his namesake (Sardar Hussain) from Green Lasht who was also in the elections fray as an independent candidate. In return, only three votes polled by Sardar Husainf from Green Lasht were counted in the name of the PPP candidate in that polling station. It may be noted that the results of postal ballots of 1,400 Chitral Scouts personnel will also come on Tuesday. After that, the final results will be announced on Wednesday. The presiding officer of the polling station who made the blunder was Rehmat Hasil from Parwak. Sources told chitraltoday.net that Ghulam Mohammad, who was earlier shown as leading by about 50 votes against PPP’s Sardar Hussain, had asked his supporters not to come for congratulating him till the announcement of the final results on Wednesday.]]>
Mr. Ghulam Muhammad has made a very wise decision to urge people not to come for greeting him before the final results. His chances of making to the slot are gloomy. Secondly, the said presiding officer must be punished for making criminal blunder which shows carelessness on the face of such sensitive responsibility. He should be duly punished for making such mistake as they have been amply trained and on the other hand there is a question mark on the qualification of such a person as presiding officer. I think PK-90 seat goes to Mr. Sardaar Hussain who is much deserving candidate this time.
Three bulls have alreday been slaughtered by our former MPA without confirming the results. Firing echoes had been heard last night. The presiding officers should have been very careful.
