ISLAMABAD: Steps are underway to cope with GLOF risks in Chitral, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

He said the government was also taking steps to strengthen National Disaster Management Authority to cope with the situation, Radio Pakistan reported.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan told the house that 73 new regional passport offices will be established across the country during the next one year to facilitate the people. He pointed out that home passport delivery system has already been launched in some cities which will be extended to the entire country. The minister said time period for issuance of passport has been decreased.

He said over 200 corrupt employees of NADRA had been dismissed during the last one year. The minister said 13 mega NADRA centers were also being set up in the country where prompt and international standard service will be provided.
