Snandur polo trophy 2017 also comes to Chitral!

SHANDUR: The Chitral polo team ruled at the world’s highest polo ground of Shandur in the year 2017 too, by defeating Gilgit and bringing home the trophy yet again.

Though both the teams played superbly and scored five goals each till the break, Chitral outclassed the Gilgit team in the second half of the match watched by thousands of people at the world’s highest polo ground located in upper Chitral.

Corps Commander Peshawar Lt Gen Nazir Ahmed Butt was the chief guest at the final day of the tournament. Subedar Izhar Ali of Chitral Scouts scored seven goals and was declared man of the match.

Folk singers from both sides of Shandur mesmerized the spectators by their performances throughout the three-day festival. Chitral has been winning the tournament for a number of years in a row.
