The residents here said that the local bazaar had run out of firewood and supply was not coming.
Most of the people in the area depend on firewood brought from lower parts of the valley; however, as the winter season was at its last leg, they had not stored the commodity. But the latest rain left behind the temperature soaring, compelling the people to remain indoor most of the time. Besides, erratic supply of electricity has also added to their woes.
One of the resident told chitraltoday.net that he was looking for firewood in the bazaar but could not get it even at a higher rate. He said he could not travel to Chitral town to buy the firewood as there was also lack of taxi jeeps.
