'Musharraf worked to end deprivation of Chitralis'
He was speaking at a function organized by the party at a local hotel in which a large number of people from Chitral were present. MNA Chitral Shahzada Iftikharuddin also spoke on the occasion. Dr Amjad said that following the footsteps of Gen Musharraf the party leaders were also working for the welfare of the people of Chitral where the former military ruler enjoys a huge popularity. Others who spoke on the occasion included APML Chitral leaders Shahzada Khalid Pervez, Taqdira Khan, Mehreen Malik and others. They said even though Musharraf was not allowed to take part in the 2013 elections, his party won the National Assembly seat from Chitral. Musharraf did not follow principles in last elections when after seeing his position country wide he decided to boycott the elections. However because He had a strong candidate in Chitral he allowed him to participate violating his own announcement. With such principles he deserves what he got.
