Two of the proposals he took up with the political leaders of Gilgit-Baltistan were to pass the Silk Road through Chitral by constructing a tunnel in Chumar Khon near Mastuj in upper Chitral and to keep the Shandur Road open in winters too.

These proposals he presented during a meeting at the office of Deputy Speaker Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA) Jafar Ullah Khan which was attended by members of the assembly and others people.

MPA Sardar Hussain suggested to his hosts that a join planning should be prepared to link Gilgit-Baltistan with other parts of the country through the proposed Chumar Khon tunnel via Chitral. He also proposed that a meeting of the political leaders of Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pkahtunkhwa may be organized in Islamabad to further discuss and give the proposal a final shape.

He expressed the hope that the meeting would soon be organized in the federal capital to finalize the project and start work on it. The project, he added, would usher in a new era of development and prosperity in the two provinces besides bringing the people of Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan further closer.

He also stressed the importance of keeping the Shandur road open round the year for the connectivity of the two regions with each other. MPA Sardar Hussain highlighted the recent climate change-related disasters which hit both Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan and said the administrations of the two areas should sit together to a devise a strategy to meet these recurring challenges, especially by improving the road communication infrastructure.

He said though Gilgit and Chitral were located in two separate provinces, the people of the areas had centuries-old cultural, social, economic and trade relations. He said because of their identical cultures, traditions, history, languages as well as identical issues the hearts of the people of Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan beat together. He said the love people of Chitral had in their hearts for their brothers and sisters in Gilgit-Baltistan would continue growing even stronger in the future.

At the end, the deputy speaker of the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly thanked MPA Sardar Hussain for visiting the area and said the people as well as and government of the region would continue strengthening the friendly relations with the people of Chitral.

Last time when he returned after making a successful visit to GB he almost handed over Shandur to GB. I am scared what he might have promised this time around. Sardar Hussain is a lost cause and the people now regret voting for him.

After having spent a very busy schedule in GB regarding uplift schemes, the MPA is likely to meet with chief minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, which he had annonced before winning the elections. What a joke it is with the innocent people of Chitral that GB government would help Chitralis in bringing the two areas closer through different initiatives. The GB govt could be seen staging protests for wheat subsidy and it will help Chitralis, I think is like looking forward to Qaim Ali Shah to play a role in completing the Lowari tunnel project. The thing which we all should know that the MPA has proved to be as worse as any of his predecessors. He has disappointed the people of his constituency to the extent where now people have lost all hope in him.
