Wish a blessed and peaceful holy month of Ramazan. It is not simply an exercise of fasting during the month. It is the month in which the Holy Quran was revealed to the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). That is why Muslims all over the world focus more on prayers and reciting Holy Quran. It is mandatory for all Muslims, who are mentally and physically sound, to keep fast in the month. Muslims offer extra congregational prayers at night during Ramazan. The fasting is not simply about denying your body food and water the whole day. It involves arguably the more challenge of avoiding ill speech, arguments,
loss of temper and malicious behaviour. It also emphasises caring for others, feeding the poor and helping the needy people besides developing a sense of self-control, patience, forgiving, avoiding hurting others by actions and words and respect for humanity irrespective of their cast, tribe, religion, financial and political status.
Being a Muslim, we should need to permanently implement the spiritual lessons in our whole life learnt throughout the Holy month of Ramazan.
The main purpose of fasting is to demonstrate submission to Almighty Allah and keep the mind focused on the spiritual plan, which should cause forgiveness of our bad deeds(sins). This the true message of Ramazan to the followers of Islam.
May God help and guides us to observe the fast with its true spirit.
