CHITRAL: Provincial Minister for Sports, Archeology, Culture, Youth Affairs and Museums Mahmood Khan inaugurated a suspension bridge at Khurkushandeh and a youth centre at Mustajapandeh in Chitral.
The same bridge was inaugurated by District Nazim Maghfirat Shah a few weeks ago.
Addressing a public gathering on the occasion, Mahmood Khan said the provincial government had released Rs20 million for the suspension bridge. Similarly, the PTI-led government wanted to ensure all facilities for the youth and the centre-cum sports complex was constructed at a cost of Rs30 million.
Abdul Latif, the district president of PTI, said the provincial government constructed 11 RCC bridges, established the Chitral university, a degree college in Ayun and a number of high schools for girls and boys in Chitral. He said PTI government also constructed a number of micro hydro powerhouses which were generating seven megawatt electricity and 650 MW powerhouses were in pipeline which will be constructed soon.
Razitu Billah and other PTI leaders criticized the district nazim of Chitral for inaugurating the Khurkushandeh bridge a few days ago. They said the nazim had no role in the construction of the bridge as the funds were made available by PTI MPA Bibi Fauzia MPA.
Shahzada Faisal, Rahmat Ghazi, Hayatullah and other leaders also spoke on the occasion.
