Many Chitrali youth serving in Chitral Scouts and police were killed by terrorists causing a major loss not only to the parents of the soldiers but also to the whole Chitrali nation.
It is also true that it was a major failure and irresponsibility of intelligence agencies who could not know the movement of so many terrorists across the border and also the Scouts were not well equipped to face such sudden challenges as my sister Aliya Chitrali has mentioned in her article in Chitraltoday.com
We were too kind towards our brothers and sisters of Afghanistan and are still kind to them but I think they are thankless people from their childhood because despite being an Islamic state they didn’t even accept our existence when our beloved country was born in 1947.
Afghanistan is our neighboring country which has not maintained brotherly relations with us for most of the time which we can’t ignore. Afghanistan was against Pakistan’s membership at the UN in 1947. King Zahir Shah delivered a very hateful speech against Pakistan in the National Assembly of Afghanistan on 30th June, 1949.
President Hamid Karzai also often issues such statements. King Zahir Shah said Afghanistan will not enjoy warm relations with Pakistan. In response, Pakistan created hurdles in its trade through Karachi but later allowed it to use Karachi port for its imports and exports.
Troubled days started after 9/11 when US attacked Afghanistan and since then we are bearing the burden of more Afghan refugees. Improving relations with Pakistan is a national objective that Afghanistan has to aspire for.
Our cruel leader Ziaul Haq promoted Talabanization against Russia throughout the country to make America happy which we are still enduring. We didn’t know what a suicide attack was before.
I would like to ask the Taliban that that if you have eagerness to do Jihad against the infidels and believe that this will take you to the heaven just go to Palestine, Kashmir etc and stop killing Muslims.
At last my requests to the local authorities not to forget their priceless sacrifices and show their best sympathy by not only performing their duties but also fighting bravely for the sake of our people. August 26 should be celebrated every year in remembrance of those Scouts who laid their lives for a cause.
