PML-N leader seeks subsidized wheat for Chitral

ISLAMABAD, April 28: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Chitral president and former MPA Saeed Ahmed Khan has called upon the federal government to provide subsidized wheat to Chitral. He said the people of Gilgit-Baltistan have been enjoying the subsidized wheat since decades and Chitral being more backward and remote should also be treated at par with the region of Gilgit-Baltistan. He put up the demand to the federal government during a meeting with PML-N leaders retired Capt Safdar, Pir Sabir Shah and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi at the Prime Minister House here. Mr Saeed Ahmed headed a delegation of PML-N leaders from Chitral. He also demanded that at least 30 megawatts of electricity should be provided to the Chitral town from the Golen Gol hydropower project to resolve the power crisis in the town. Mr Saeed Ahmed also emphasized the need that the under-construction Lowari tunnel should be completed during the tenure of the PML-N government.]]>
