Environment art contest held for students

CHITRAL, Nov 20: The Chitral Heritage and Environmental Protection Society (CHEPS) organised an art competition on environment, which was sponsored by Sarhad Rural Support Programme under the peace project. artIn the competition, 16 public and private schools and colleges participated. On the closing ceremony of the event Chairman CHEPS Rehmat Ali thanked all public and private schools and colleges for their participation in the competition, SRSP for its sponsorship and the principal Commerce College Chitral for providing the venue for the competition. “It was a segment of our plantation drive which we had started on spring time. I used to ask for time and knowledge of students to join hand with him in his cause,” he said. The winners shouldn’t think it a pinnacle of success and other competitors as the last attempt, should continue to believe in it a step toward success’ he also added. He also announced cash prize of 3000, 2000, and 1000 for first, second, and third position holder respectively in this competition. While speaking on the occasion, the regional manager SRSP thanked all students, guests and CHEPS for organizing healthy activity and coming up with new ideas. ‘SRSP has been working for the last 12 years in different sectors. It also works for youth development by holding competitions, debates, organizing tournaments under youth project sponsored by European Commission’ he also added. The winners were awarded with certificates and cash prizes and other competitors were also given participation certificates. In this competition Gul Barin student of Govt, Girls Degree College, Chitral, clinched third, Sanaullah, student FCPS, Chitral second , and Arif Ali Khan, student of Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Chitral first position in this competition.IMG_0040]]>
